1944-P Penny Clipped Planchet?

    Sorry about the picture quality I had to use my underwater camera to take the pictures. I was just wondering what you guys thought about this, I found it today while CRHing. I was just wondering if it was a legit Clipped Planchet or something that happened in circulation.

    Hard to say from those photos. They are not in focus. One thing that I look for on a genuine clip is a weak or missing rim opposite the clip. This is called the Blakesley effect. I don't see that on your coin. I cannot see any detail around the "clip" either. I cannot say either way (genuine or fake) based on these photos.
