Sorry, no pics at the moment because I'm stuck at work, but I was wondering if you guys would keep these two notes; 2006 $100 * note, SN# HF00646658* multiple "rolled" folds if you would, corners worn and slightly curled. 2006 $5 note, SN#HF89111113B. Definitely a bit worn with multiple folds
you do have a star on the $100, but not a repeater with that $5. Yes, notes, especially this new of a Series, really must be ChCU or better unless the printage were exceptionally small or the SN was exceptionally low, before you start to see value. Sure the note could bring something in an AU condition to the right collector but in the condition you mentioned, these guys sound like face value is going to be the call. Feel free to scan them in and post pics later on so we can see them. Eye appeal is a very important factor along with the various paper conditions, vividness of ink, sharpness of impression, centering (equal margins), and other factors. I have to disagree with the other posters about the $100 just for the fact that I am a star note collector. Sure, it may not have a large premuim due to the condition, but no matter what the condition, I have always found at least a small one for all stars from shops. Plus, I enjoy collecting them As for the $5, sorry, no repeater, but still interesting. I might spend that one though...
It's cool guys, just happened to find them today at work and was wondering if they'd command a premium.
I have found that birthday notes bring a premium regardless of condition. I just sold a pretty circulated 03191963 $1 for $8 in circulated condition. But unless the star notes are 640,000 runs or less they don't have much premium.
