Does anyone know anything about Nevada gaming tokens??? I have 2 that i am trying to get info on and cant find anything really.. here are some pics.
On the first chip it had to be minted between 1991 to 1998. Because prior to 1991 the hotel and casino was refered to as "Sam's Town Gold River" and then as "River Palms" after 1998.
i had not clue something like this even existed! pretty cool being a fan of both vegas and coins/tokens. i believe there is at least one member who collects chips, so maybe they will know something about these. don't hold me to this, but i think its hobo who i am thinking of? edit: 777th post!! maybe i should get some boxes before i post again, i may finally get lucky!
The only Silver Strikes I have in my chip collection are from the Riviera, Slots-A-Fun & Stardust in Vegas. I'd suggest that you contact someone from the Casino Chip & Gaming Token Collectors Club (CC>CC) for more information. Chris
Many casino's had the $10 tokens made. I have a small collection of them that I won from quarter slot machines at different hotels. You could cash them in but the casino's made lots of money from folks that just took them home.
Well the good thing is that i didnt take them home from the casino. My dad used to collect coins, when he died i got all of them. I have about 300-400, most are nothing important, just things about them my dad liked. There were a few token like items including the two casino tokens.
****Not to change Subject**** I know there a few game chips that are big $$$ to have or buy. I only have 4 and one that I have photo of
