In 1881 Protectorate Tunisia was founded. It belonged to France until 1956 when Tunisia become an independent state. During the WWII Tunisia become a battlefield for German, English and other troops. After the ending of the WWII Tunisia was a poor African country. But now it is a rather popular place at European tourists.
