Is this a real cud error - 1959D Jefferson Nickel ??

Hello, I was wanting to get an opinion on a coin I found today. I think it's a cud error. It's a 1959 D Jefferson Nickel. Anyone ever seen one of these?

Yep. That is a cud and it is an error caused by a portion of the die breaking off.
