Hey guys this coin has been sitting on my desk for a while now and I cant seem to find anything on it, I'm sure you guys can so here are the scans (I know they are terrible but my camera is still broken) The front says- GV(U?)LIELMVI III DEI GRA The back says- BR FRA (the hole took a letter out of this one)ET HIB REX IO ?MAG Thanks!
it looks something like this http://www.coinarchives.com/w/lotvi...Lot=3813&Val=05070926aaec77fc09afd13f108c3043
That is an English William III sixpence or shilling, if you can tell me the diameter then I will be able to tell you the denomination. It is probably from 1696 as this is the most common date.
Actually looking at the picture of the MS coin I was able to find the date on my coin and read 1697. The diameter of the coin is 2.4 cm. Thanks!
Also does anyone have any idea of the value of this coin, or is it minimal because of the condition it is now in?
