on-line buying

    just wondering, how many people buy on-line? pros? cons? Anybody have any bad luck?or good?

    I have to buy almost all of my currency online as there are no coin dealers who deal in much paper here. My only requirement is they must have a good reference and they must have high quality photos of both sides of the notes.

    do you have any good websites? i'm trying to find a natl from my home town. which isn't easy.

    I have bought on line for several years, and have been pleased 99% of the time. When I find a dealer I am interested in I first place a small order to check out the quality and service. If I am happy then I do more business with them. I have found a few that don't get a secound chance.

    I have bought online. Heritage and TeleTrade auctions are a safe bet. eBay is dubious. There are many reputable dealers, check out this thread, I posted a bunch of links for everyone's reference, which is in NO WAY exhaustive: Currency Websites

    The greatest risk of buying notes online is that you cannot inspect them in hand. TPG slabbed notes make this easier but still not fool-proof.
