Not until the 2006 edition comes out. There are no U.S. nickles in the 2005 Ed. dated later than 2003.

KM number is the numbering system used in Krause Publications Standard Catalog of World Coins

    Krause & Mishler

Krause & Mishler, "Standard Catalog of World Coins" There is an edition published with updated pricing every year. They prodiuce a different volume for each century. Every coin minted in the past 400-500 years has a KM number including US Coins. US collectors are not as apt to be "type collectors" as I am. I collect world "type coins", I prefer the more rare dates, but sometimes the wallet won't cooperate. The scans of the cover and intro are to large to upload, Let me see if I can find a link... http://www.amazon.com/Standard-Cata...=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1281323855&sr=1-2

    This may help... Enjoy, John

Somebody dug an old topic up, eh? ;) By the way, if the question is simply what number the KM assigned to which coin, a comfortable way of looking that info up is Krause's Numismaster database.

Hi Christian, He simply asked, "What's KM?" Hence my answer. I use Numismaster regularly, The only problem I find is that many German States and HRH coins are "misfiled". I have other resouces for those coins, (My specific area of interest). My grandkids have the rest of the world, literally. John

LOL! Makes sense now! I was wondering why the person responding the OP said wait until the 2006 edition comes out! Funny.
