1942-S Nickel die crack + defect?

    The loop looks like a gouge in to the coin, where something sharp has struck it. Nice die crack though.

    die crack is pretty cool, but the loop is, in my opinion, pmd.

    Very cool die crack. Ive seen people sell these as '$' nickels since it resembles a dollar sign.

    Appears to be a very minor RPM or mechanical doubling?

    In regards to war nickels. RPMs are very common; Coneca recognizes hundreds of different RPMs throughout the war nickel years. Regardless it is a pretty sweet nickel!
