I need help, is anyone here able to help me identify this coin/medal?

I am not sure if it is a coin, it is a golden metal, like old gold, it has a diameter of 8 mm and weights 0.3 gr.

Any help would be greatly apreciated!

    Thank you!

Thank you, any help is apreciated, since I posted here I have been told it is a Fanan from the end of 1700 begining of 1800.

Usually spelled "Fanam", that is a denomination of the Indian Princely States, also used in some of the early foreign enclaves; so perhaps Mikjo0's response wasn't as tongue-in-cheek as it first appeared.:D

OOPS!, you are right, Fanam... Thank you!

I already gave my friend that information, if anyone has any more specific one it's also welcome.

    Thank you!

If you Google "fanam" and look at the sites, you'll see that your coin seems to be one but it doesn't appear to be a gold one. There is some corrosion on yours, indicating that it is at least partially copper, possibly an alloy. From the brief reading I did, there were gold fanams and copper ones. The dotted design on the reverse is probably a stylized representation of a boar.Almost all of the fanam pics I saw use this design.

Thank you, that may be the case, as I have not seen the coin in person, a friend sent me the pic asking for information.

I will let him know, thank you very much.

BTW: Would anyone be able to give me an aproximate value of the coin?

    Thanks.
