Im looking for a for a nice example of a type one buff. In the raw would be nice since it is going in a type set. I keep getting sniped, and its getting quite annoying. If anybody see's a good listing point me in the right direction.

The type 1s are actually fairly easy to find. The Philadelphia mint ones will come in at lower prices, so if all you're after is an example than I'd go that route. Have you checked your local store?

If they don't have one, check www.collectorscorner.com.

Type I Buffalo Nickels are easy to find. I saw a number of them at a coin show today.

This may be a matter of semantics but I personally can never be sniped.
    Why?
Because I bid my maximum, generally with a day or two to go.
Therefore if I don't win I didn't get sniped; IMO someone overpaid.

Exactly how I feel. Now to the OP - define nice? One site I use already pointed out and Harlan Berk has a raw 63 for $49. VTcoins has several in varying grades and I recommend getting him to post a picture first so you can see what you are getting. Good Luck!

Well, here is a case where i was outbid in the last hour or so, i was in it until $71 , and may have gone a bit higher, but i was at work, and could not get to pc. I would not have paid that much, simply because i dont see this coin grading ms67. Somebody paid ms66 money though.

Well - glad you did not win it. I worry about buying from that seller, plus I am not sure that coin is a 66. You can always buy a graded coin and crack it out. To get a raw 65 or 66 off ebay you will need to be patient - personally I would buy from a dealer so I knew what I was getting. Even my local dealer would price a 66 in the 200 range. My 65 was a golden toned beauty balzing with luster at $135 or so. Plus on ebay I am willing to bet they go for more than they grade(or would grade in a holder).

I just bought a lot of Buffalo Nickels and found mine in there.
