Beautiful cent but IMHO = AU58 OR MS60. I'm not very good at this. Sorry BT. zeke

    I see a dash on the N but otherwise a 65.

This is another part where grading confuses me. It looks MS65, but if even a little wear, it becomes AU58. It really doesn't slide between those. Only MS grading is primarily about condition and strike where 1-58 is about wear. To me it's AU58 Choice due to the most minor hint of wear on hair above the ear. But it's certainly of higher quality than the grades MS60-MS64. I also do not agree with the standard practice of discounting minor wear as cabinet friction. Wear is wear.

Hint - There's no wear on the coin.

I graded this coin 64BN. Just not enough red for RB IMO.

i agree with the 64, but not the bn. i'd call it rb.

You don't think that coin has 5% red? That is not very much, but that is all it takes. I still think it would go 65, but you have it in hand.

In that case, I'd like to change to MS65. But I understand if it's too late. It's not like I'm in a close race for grading ability.

i am going tto say ms 64bn+ to a ms 65rb notably the natrual luster toward the ending and the toning on the obverse... the purplenes is definitely noted on the reverse..
