Obverse: Crowned imperial eagle with shield on breast.
    Reverse: Denomination within wreath.
Issuer: German Empire, under Kaiser Wilhelm II.
Specifications: .900 silver, .1606 oz., 24 mm. Berlin mint.
    Grade: PCGS MS67, cert #81055710.
    Reference: Numista-3412, Krause-Mishler-14.
    Provenance: ex-Josh Zachman ("Kazuma78" on CoinTalk), 1 August 2022.
Notes: While this is a common type and date, this particular example is in exceptionally high grade.
Comments: The blazing luster and supergem grade sold me on this piece.

I looked at the pop report and there are 39 higher than mine, including some MS68s. Seems there is a lone 68+ example reigning at the top of the pops.

I also gave it a 9. It's tough for me to give anything a 10.....except for my wife of course. (just in case she reads this)

Yours is exceptional! Here is my toned 1914E that is more in the XF range. I really like the details of the eagle on the shield of the eagle, and other intricate design features. DSCN3223~5.JPG DSCN3224~4.JPG

I've always enjoyed seeing the German coins designs, especially the earlier ones. Lots to look at. I gave it a 10.

Glad this made it into your eclectic box! Another interesting tidbit is that this coin came from a group of 2-3 sealed original rolls that a dealer bought and sent them all in to be graded. I think in the original rolls submission there were 2 or 3 MS68, maybe 15 or so MS67 and MS67+ and a bunch of MS66's. I hand picked this piece and 2 others out of the entire submission and actually think it was nicer than the MS68's.
