If you truely fire at someone that is "over the tresh hold" you better also show that their intent was to cause serious bodily injure.. such as had a knife, piupe, bat etc..... then you would be covered for the fatal shooting and it better be a fatal shot or you will be sued... even though it's your property........ just saying

I found it an interesting read actually so I'm glad it was brought back up.

 

Well bringing up old threads for no reason is usually a bit annoying. But I also think it's good that people use the search function instead of just opening the same ol' threads again and again. So I am torn

 

I think were talking about someone that has the intent to steal something or due harm to someone
Like someone that has a ski mask on at 3:00 am coming in to your house, I have a Glock model 23
In .40 caliber for those kind of situations, It seems to work well!!

 

Interesting thread, thanks for bringing it back up. I think the deal with some people reviving old threads is the "Similar Threads" box at the bottom of the page, it lists various old threads, so if someone clicks on one of those and doesn't realize it's old, they might end up bringing it back inadvertently.

 

Happens all the time......

 

I know in florida we have a stand your ground law which basically means means that if someone is threatening your life you can shoot at them as much as you want. And while it may seems with hidden ristrictions, gang members have gotten away with murders cuz their lawyers some how find a way.

 

Sorry to hear about your loss but glad they did not get your coins. Looks like you dodged a bullet.
