Ok sign me up for L12, I will start with $1-5 without stars. 1928 to current. I might add stars later and extend the $ amount but I figure face value alone this is $200 and should put me over $1000 just to get started.
Picked up quite a few L12 bills today (guess I will be going up to $10) $1 2006, 2003A, 2003, 1999, 1985, 1977A, 1969D, 1969C, 1969B, 1969A, 1969, 1963B, 1963A, 1969* $5 2006, 2003A, 2001, 1950B $10 1950B, 1934D, 1934C, 1934, 1928B And this one
Please tell me you didn't get so lucky as to find that National in circulation... Nice note and a good chunk of notes to knock off your list! WTG!
lol, no. All notes after 77 were from circulation, the others were bought. If anyone comes across a national note for sale that says Chico please let me know, I know there are a few out there but I have only seen one in a shop and it wasn't for sale.
Picked up the following today $1 1995, 1993, 1977, 1963 $1* 1977A, 1963A $5 1934A Also got this 50 in change, green seal is offset and it is a 74. Not for my set but I don't know if it would have a premium.
Picked up $5 1934, 1928A $10 1934A $20 2004* and a $5 from 1929, hadn't seen a $5 before. Can someone give me an idea of what this should have cost me, the only thing I can find is one that costs 650 in fine shape. (this has to be something different) (local shop has a really nice $50 but wants 3-4 hundred for it)
From looking it up in my book looks like it about $60. There are approx 1675 remaining in existance. Not sure the difference that makes the other one $650 but there is something lol
Some questions about a note for my District crew: I came across this note on eBay with the title: 1981 $1 FRN ST LOUIS SHEET ONLY CGA GEM 67 FR-1911-HH-E BLOCK SHEET ONLY ISSUE, RARE FIND, REGAN-ANDERSON What is this 'Sheet Only issue'? Was this note trimmed out from an uncut BEP sheet and submitted for grading? A Guide Book of US Paper Money, 2nd Ed. shows the F-1911H St. Louis 163,840,000 printed with Buchanan | Regan signature (which I already have), not a Regan-Anderson with the same Fr#, but the back of the book has a section of notes that include a F-1911H 1981 printed at Wash DC (No signatures mentioned). What is the correct Fr# number for these notes if they both use F-1911H and yet there are two runs within the Series with different signatures? Is there a way to determine these descrepencies? Are there many occurances of notes like this I might need to be on the look out for my District set or inclusion? Furthermore, if this is trimmed from a sheet and if the sheet only runs are small, is this indeed "rare" or scarce??? Sorry for so many questions, but I appreciate any/all info you guys can help me with. :smile
Krispy: What he is refering to is that the Block H-xxxxxxxxE was issued in uncut sheets only. Yes it must have been hand cut and sent in for cert.. S/L 9th Ed list it at $40.. with 160,000 printrd. Hope this helps. Numbers may have more info on his site.. RickieB
Thanks Rick! I will see what, if anything further, Numbers can add to this. I'm still curious about the difference in the two signature pairings listed for the same Fr.#, Fr. 1911H.
Thats odd.. must be a typo.. as Anderson's sig is oly on the Series 1957 Silver Cert Could easily be a typo..I have found many in my postings and in other reference books..LOL RB
Rick, I too was wondering about the possibility of a typo in the books, but it has to be the CGA holder itself with the typo, unless a run of BEP sheet only issued notes bears the Anderson-Regan sigs for this Series. At any rate have a look at the note in the CGA holder, looks like Buchanan|Regan to me NOT Anderson|Regan... ??? Here's the listing image: And here's my Fr-1911H Series 1981 $1:
LOL..indeed the holder.. I am sure they would correct it if sent back in... Humm..I have some holders that are mis-labeled as well. RickieB
Just want to add that the signature on that $1 does not look anything like Anderson's signature on the 1957 silver cert either...
Yep, it seems that CGA holder is mislabeled. Here's a Fr. 1656 Series 1953-A $5 Silver Certificate with Priest|Anderson signatures for comparison:
