I was shopping a buying a big ticket item for the house and when getting my change back I was given this. I asked if they had anymore and was able to pick up 9 more notes All 10 are CU, 2 1963, 6 1969, 1 1981 and 1 1981A. Do these carry a significant premium over face? I really don't do much paper but thought that 200 in Crisp 20's that old may have some additional value.
Dang kid! You are on a roll! CONGRATULATIONS (AGAIN!!!) Are they all stars? or just this one? What are the districts of the other notes? can you list all the details or provide more pics of each note? Need to see them and know the district info to base potential value. Probably they are all going to be AU or less depending on condition since you got them in circulation.
BQ.. sounds like you are on a roll today... As Krispy mentions, whats the SN's and are any more of these stars?? Nice find. RickieB
Rats! No St. Louis notes! oh well... maybe one of the other District collectors will be enticed. The Chicago note seems to have a heavy inked "G" in the upper right SN. (re: 1) Still a really nice score! The Series 1969-C $5 I found in circulation last week was a real dog, nothing compared to your notes. Good stuff.
BQ.. According to my S/L 9th edition the first note Cleveland Star in CHCU will go for $120-$140 The 1969 G Chicago Note around $45 to $50 in CHCU The 1963 J note around $100-$115 in CHCU The 1969 J note arund $40-$50 in CHCU The 1981 J Note around $60-$70 in CHCU The 1969 J Note SN starting with 1700 looks XF to me not much over face.. The 1981A E Note around $40-$50 in CHCU The last 2 note (J) one has a corner fold and other wear.. the last one look XF to me too..but I could be wrong.. Anyway nice haul. EBay might be the right place for these.. nice score!! Getting these prices is the real trick..this is just a suggested price point published early this year. RickieB
Well, if I could get a quarter of the price I'd be pretty happy. I may just pop them onto the bay. Thanks for the help.
you had the luckiest day, i hope it turns into luckiest month, then year! anyway if you put them on ebay, i would be interested to hear the profits you make..
