    Yes. it is cool.
    It's HT #73, Low No. 49.
    An R2, which means it's a fairly common variety.

    Rulau has it priced at:
    VF = $75
    EF = $125
    Unc = $400

    I wouldn't mind having one like that, myself.

    Would this token grade VF?

    NGC seems to be the tpg slabbing most of the exonumia, and from what I have seen, this token would very likely be graded in the XF range by them.

    Compare the above token to some of these graded exonumia pieces:

    XF40 (granted these are not the best struck tokens to begin with) - http://cgi.ebay.com/INDIANA-PRIMITI...8362408977QQcategoryZ3456QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

    AU55 - http://cgi.ebay.com/RARE-Cincinnati...8361712579QQcategoryZ3456QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

    MS62 (gotta love those spots :rolling: ) - http://cgi.ebay.com/F-201-432A-UNLI...8362407957QQcategoryZ3456QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

    That is a nice token. Wonder how much a 1/2 cent of coffee would get you back then?

    Maybe not too much. Sounds like coffee was expensive back then.

    "Coffee was introduced in Brazil early in the eighteenth century, but initially it was planted only for domestic use. It took the high world prices of the late 1820s and early 1830s to turn coffee into a major export item."
