Not yet, I won't get the bill for another week. I just bought it and was so excited that I wanted to post it right away so used the seller's pics. Hope it's one of those circumstances where his pics are really bad.
Yeah, I'm really pleased that I managed to find one that wasn't almost shredded. It seems that in the last year, the older Canadian notes in upper grades went really high. One auction in England brought record prices.
Hi panda. In answer to your enquiry. The date on the Saudi note you'll find in the middle of the second line down from the top. The date on this one is 1379/7/1. So AH1379 = AD1968. This is the date of the goverment's law or decree for producing the notes and the issuing of them may spread over several years. In the particular case of your note there were two different sets of signatures, yours being the earlier one, but I can't pin the date down any further than between 1968 and 1976 (when redesigned notes were issued). This is a typical system used by a lot of Arabic countries although sometimes there is a second date for the year of issue. The same goes for the Italian notes. First the date of the law or decree then the second one is the date of issue. Vic
Wow three vignettes on that $100! Very pictorial. I would assume there's nothing less than huge denominations too!
