I bought some coin tubes, i bought some square ones with like the corners seperated, but the lids arent screw on, but i see them favored more so over the plane clear ones, but my local coin dealer has the clear ones with the screw lids which i like better, which kind do you prefer, square tubes or circular ones?

I like the clear round ones better. Not as good for stacking, but I like how they look more.

I like the ones like you bought. I have used the others, but the circular ones fall over and roll more over the years. The also seem to crack more often as they are a different plastic. Some sellers use the old style to try and make you think they are more "original coins within".

I like the square type with the snap on lids that have the type of coin they fit labeled on the lid. Those clear acrylic ones don't stack well and crack over time / with use.

I have both, but I prefer the square tubes for reasons that others have already stated. The clear plastic are too prone to cracking, especially if they roll off of the table.

All I use are the round clear plastic tubes - with screw on lids. Have a few of the square ones that I picked up by way of purchasing the coins inside. Don't see a problem with them, but don't use them. I'm just a weird ole man that started with the round ones and don't like change. Never had a problem with them cracking. Think the square ones cost more. Maybe?

I prefer the round clear tubes with screw on lids. I like seeing the edges of the coins and like the security of the screw on lids. I've had the lids come off the square tubes in storage and had coins all over the place. Don't want the tubes to roll off the table, then stand them up and/or level your table.

What if you took a clear tube filled with quarters and put it in a empty square plastic half dollar tube? TO make the room work?

The clear ones do crack... which I have seen lead to toning... sometimes good looking, sometimes not so much.
