2010-D Nickel!!!

I haven't seen a 2009 or 2010 Penny, nickel or dime in Maine yet.

thanks yes I did go on e bay an score some P & d Jeffersons. I have found 2009 pennies , dimes no nickels in change, I have also found 2010 pennies and dimes in Md. but a read in early spring coin world stated that no nickels were ordered to be struck and that the fed has suspended mintage of nickels all together,as the amount of surplus coins in the stream. 2009 mintage droped 65% from 2008 and a 40 year low. so I'm happy...as a nickel collector thanks..BTW I never even thought to look for nickels after the read in Coin world.

 

I found a 2010-D nickel about a week ago! Also found a 2009-D dime, was in my change from McDonald's!

 

anyone know where one can find out the mintage numbers on 2010 p and d?

 

On any give day I will find a 2010 P or D dime and P or D 2010 Nickel. The d's took a lot longer, but know I see them everyday almost. I am outside of Detroit, if that matters.

 

Yeah. They abound very regularly. They almost annoy me because I'll get one and think "hey, that looks shiny, maybe its an '09". Only to flip it over and see 2010 staring me in the face.

I got about $30 worth of 2010-p nickel rolls from the bank. Dont know what to do with them. I just wanted nickel rolls to roll search but they are all brand new. Guess I'll save them for now.

 

nice find, I've found a bunch of 2010 dimes but no nickels yet!!
