1996 w dimes

    was there 2 1996w dimes in the mint sets? i recently aquired 2 1996 mint sets and they both have 2 1996w dimes.

    Yep,they should be in their own square of cello. For those looking to buy this mint set you need to check that they're included. Some sets are sold without them and that dime is worth as much as the rest of the set.
    I misread your post. There should only be one "W" dime per set. If you got two per set you're a lucky dog!

    My sets have got the "w" wrapped in separate Kryo. You sayin' you recieved two "w" dimes wrapped in separate kryo? Or are you sayin' you recieved them in the main kryo set with the other coins.

    I seen sets with multiple coins in each cell before.

    no,both sets had 2 separate cello wrapped dimes inside a folded cardboard insert.

    thanks! I didnt think there was 2 but i don't get many mint sets in the collections i buy and i wasn't sure since both sets had 2.

    Fret,looks just like mine cept x 2.and no I haven't taken them out of the cello.

    Someone probably took them out of the sets to look at them and then when they started putting them back in the accidentaly doubled up the coins in some of the sets.
     
  17. That is probably what happened. The Mint does not like to give out anything extra. TC
