1792 token or penny Help!!!

    I picked this up from my Buddy coin shop last weekend.I was filling for him while he was off to a show. A teenager came in with it and I paid $6.00 for it and now I can not find it in any of my world coin books?

    Wow...nice buy. That's from the Dutch East Indies Trading Company I believe. They minted their own coins.

    yup VOC = Verenigde Oost-Indische Compagnie (united east-indian company)

    coins like these aren't scarce, and 6 dollars is probably as much as it is worth. Nice to have a 200+ year old coin for such a small price though
