lettow ... So if I understand you correctly you are telling me that I can take any of my ABNCo cards & BEP cards & just cut them down & PMG will accept them for submission and put them in holders ? Not that I would never do this to the cards their is information on them like the engravers & the vignettes & other notes they were used on.Lets hope this greedy practice stops before these beautiful cards are destroyed.
Pmg & bep cards Lettow .I just went through 3 albums of BEP Card & found the uncut card BEP Card #125 (TNA 1989 Back of 1918 $5000 FRN,I guess PMG would certify a Ham Sandwich an put it in plastic if they have stooped so low as to accepting cut down BEP CARDS. Thank I'll let Ken Barr know & post a thread. Thanks for the info again.
I bet they's put the whole thing in plastic too with all the different sizes they will make. It would just cost more to do.
You did awfully good for a camera. A scanner will always give better results than a camera, for flat stuff, but as a second choice this is nice. Can you tell me what the design represents on the face of the Mexico note? Dave
Hope you do not mind that I did a little color correction on this.. the yellow was killing me. Nice note! RickieB
Kreskin the magician ,how did you do that ?Oh I fogot the Magicians Code of Ethics, never tell....Photoshop saw me in half !
I pulled a 1963 $1 FRN San Francisco Barr note from circulation on Friday. Granny had 20 ones, so I asked to eyeball them. The Barr note was on top of the stack. Not a bad note either. Good honest wear. No holes, tears, creases, etc... Circulated, but no problems. I haven't pulled a Barr note in many years.
So much nice currency in this thread... This red seal is awesome. Anyone have a small funnyback red seal? I hear they were only circulated in Puerto Rico... ???
Yeah, I've got one - less than 2 million printed, and I believe only distributed in Puerto Rico like you said.
I have one too, picked it up a couple months ago. It's pretty beat up, but I like it anyway. I'll try to post a pic later.
Just got this one. It's a 1935 Canadian Bank of Commerce bank note. A little on the rough side but the higher grade ones are 10x the price I paid for it. I really like the engravings on this series:
That is an awesome note! The ones on the 'rough side' would probably be within my budget range given some of the prices I've come across those old Canadian notes bearing. Very cool and congrats on the sweet pick up!
