I did receive the "invitation" private message. It looked like another coin collecting forum when I visited. I did not join there since I am already posting on CoinTalk and on Collectors Universe and another gold and silver forum called Gold-Silver.US. Posting on three forums keeps me very busy.

Peter, one of my best friend's dad has his answering machine set up like this: "Hello, hello, hello, gotchya', you've reached XXX-XXX-XXXX, please leave your name and number, and I'll get back to you" Telemarketers get tricked every time! Personally, I answer the phone in different accents and I screw with them a little. It is way more fun that way.
my late grandfather would answer the phone as "bob's bordello" or different goofy names. he had his identity stolen a long time ago and got most of everything taken care of, there were a few CC companies that decided they were still going to try and collect off him. he had enough money and other credit cards he figured screw it this late in life. other then the first one, he had a few more, some of them are escaping my mind right now. one had to do with the city morgue, can't remember, maybe its from a movie??? when they asked for his name he would say "he moved to canada or mexico" telemarketers got it worst, i can't even say the stuff on the site that he used to say and do. he was legally blind and had a very hard time moving around from old football injuries and being shot a bunch of times when he was a police officer. so answering the phone was a task and didn't want to not pick up in case it was family.
I hate telemarketers, but I love my nigerian coin collection. I have this great dealer, I don't know where he's from but he doesn't even ask for the money, he just helps himself. Best thing I could have ever signed up for!
Try saying "Eigo-ga wakarimasen. Nihongo kudasai." So far I haven't been called by a Japanese-speaking telemarketer. Thanks for the kind offer, but I'll pass this time.
