Camera Question

    I am thinking about purchasing a camera to take photos of coins with. What would be an inexpensive camera to consider?

    That is an open ended question. You need to define "inexpensive".

    The SX200 IS sounds like a bit too much for coins shots. I have used the much cheaper Canon PowerShot A480, which makes decent pictures in general, and it made some excellent coins photos in macro mode.

    Does the A480 have the ability to get in close for variety photos?
