One of my Co-Workers that I started on collecting coins pulled me aside before I left work and told me that one of his roommates works at Dunken Donuts and has some silver half dollars in his draw and that since he doesn't have any money that I should go get them... So I went and picked them up and brought them back to my buddy still working and split them in half with him as a finders fee!!! Not a bad grab at face value a?
1 Walker, 2 Ben's, 3 '64 Kennedy's and 5 65'-67' Kennedy's was my actual take home after the split!!! Best last hour of work that I have had in awhile!

My daugter works for that Nazi regime (Dunkin') and she's never mentioned any of the findings that you've discovered......

    She's still on the "lookout".......

Wow...I can't believe that someone payed for their coffee/donuts with this.

    Excellent find your co-worker made!

At first we weren't sure what his buddy was trying to get rid of, because he gave my friend like 3 explanations of what he had, so I just told my Co-Worker that I would go get what ever it is and split it with him as a finders fee.

Never have found a silver half in circulation in any way, or ever had a buddy give me anything.
Might start roll searching...one of these days. :)

    Nice score for you :thumb:

Some kid with a sweet tooth probably lifted them from his parents' collection.

if your friends, friend knew what he had, could be worth a bit of money, why didn't he just keep it? worst case, its worth only what he paid..

don't get me wrong, its a real nice "look-out" for a friend, but if you split in half with your buddy, that was around $80-$90 in silver. that the dunker worker could have had.

i think if one were to see a walker and didn't collect, they would still pull it. they probably never seen anything like it before, and have hopes it would be worth money. some people may be upset if they had a worn common date and it only be worth melt, but still a lot more then face.

anyway, good score! and thats a good friend(your buddy, and his buddy both!)
