I hate to say this dimefreak, but you are on the wrong side of this bet. Not saying Lehigh would do this, but he, his friends,or any of his "fans" can easily throw it to the high price (nearly sure that will be Lehigh) and you won't know it and cannot do anything about it.

Well I have already thought about that and have mixed feelings about it because I actually want this coin. The bet wont prove anything but I hate being a coward, this is the second time he has challenged me to a bet. Maybe this is how they settle things in Atlantic City
but your point is very valid RLM, I appreciate the comradery

NEVER show/post a link to a nice coin you are interested in, it could wind up costing you the coin entirely, or alot more than if you hadn't posted it. I learned to never show one until it's closed. The fewer people in on it, the better. ;)

LOL your polly right besides this seller generates quite a following. I am winning as you can see and dont plan on bidding again. to me it looks like the reverse of the kryptonite coin on both sides.

And that was my original point. I am very good at interpreting photographs of rainbow toned coins, even bad ones. Based on what I saw in the original photo, I thought the coin would have incredible eye appeal in hand and would be worth 4-5X wholesale.

I would never intentionally rig a bet but I must admit given rlm's comments that I have an inherent advantage. Don't read too much into my betting challenges. I have not been playing poker much lately and it is making me more inclined to place prop bets whenever I see an opportunity. What can I say, I am a gambler.

If I can come up with a way the we can make a bet that is fair for both of us I will post the proposition. Regarding the Greattoning coin, I think it will sell for 2X wholesale ($130). Dick's auctions usually bring very strong money despite his juiced photos.
