Which folder/album do you prefer?

Hi guys, I'm new to coin collecting and I'm looking to purchase a folder/album for coin sets that I find while roll searching. I like the Dansco albums because you can see both sides of the coin, the reviews are great, you can add extra pages as time goes on, and they look nice on a bookshelf. The only downside is they cost a little more than $30 with their slipcase, and a little less without. Currently, I'm looking at the 7100 version for lincoln cents 1909-date. I'm wondering if this album is worth the investment over the $5 cardboard fold out ones that supposedly damage your coins. Also, does a Dansco album for all small cents exist? I know the flying eagle and indian heads can be a bit pricey, but I'll want them in the future and it would be nice to have them all in one album for $30 instead of 3 albums for $90. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Yes - it is worth the money in my opinion. Of course I use both, but only low grade coins go into the Harris or whitman folders. If I ever get serious about 1909 to 1940 range I will definitely get a dansco album. I would never put a key or semi key in the folders, but maybe a dansco.

Dansco albums definitely seem like the best choice then, do you know if they have any albums for slots for all small cents?

I have several of those and I like them a lot for long term storage of circulated coins. I would say to the OP go on ebay and buy dansco or whitmen classic albums used. I have bought more then 10 in the last few years and they are in great condition most of the time often like new and they go for about a third of new.

I use the mylar sheets for binders. Work great for my raws and individual proofs I have in 2x2s.

I prefer Dansco albums and I use two Dansco albums (7085 and 7086) to put a select few of my silver art bars in them to look at. I also have a Dansco slipcover for one of my silver art bar collections.

I have used several products over the years and I think Dansco are the way to go all the way. I have them for all my better grade coins. They are hands down the best in durability and with the slip cases I havn't noticed any discoloring or tarnishing.

No albums provide enough protection IMO. I use a combination of airtites, 2x2's and plastic 3-ring binder pages. This give me complete flexibility to do as I please.
