Hello everyone! I'm not really a coin collector, but I came across these coins from my wife's grandfather and have become very interested in their history. Any ideas on what these are?

I do believe they are all novelties. The only coins ever minted by the Confederacy was a 1 cent piece and a 50 cent piece. Also, they were only minted in the year 1861. Your 1 cent coin has the year 1862. I may be wrong so stick around for other people's input.

Here's my take... The originals are so rare that they are practically nonexistant outside of museums. There were valuable restrikes done of the original dies which show die cracks on the surfaces, which I do not see. So, my opinion, they are nifty little copies of items which are extremely rare. In fact, the 5 and 20 were proposed but never struck by the Confederacy, if I remember right.

Thanks for the replies...of the scarce info i could find, you are correct in that the 5 and 20 were not minted. And the one photo i saw did have cracks. Thanks again, just had my fingers crossed for a nice treasure.
