So i'm in the bank today to get a bunch of rolls for searching, and of course I ask if they have any Ikes. I know, I know, most of you dont think ikes are worth collecting, but I like em! Anyway, the manager overheard me ask the teller and she says "I have 800 of them in the vault". So we arranged for me to pick them up tuesday because I didn't want to have the teller take back all the rolls I was currently getting. On that note, my wife doesnt seem to understand that I'm not really spending money, so she complains. Anyone else have that problem? I'm a numisaddict!
My wife loves this new hobby of mine. She actually compared it to check kiting the other day. Take $300 out of the bank. Deposit $290 back in. But, what you keep is actually worth more that the $10 you are out. And I'm with you on the Ikes. Anything that is as old as me, or older is worth at least having a few of.
I will definitely post any good results on the ikes. They also have 400 kennedys, but she said its not a problem for me to order them through her at $1000 a box(or bag maybe) from the feds. What surprised me so much is that it's one of my usual banks where I ask for kennedys and Ikes every single time I am in there. I don't remember ever getting any Ikes out of this one. Guess it's all about who you ask or who over hears you asking!
My wife fully understands that whats mine is hers and whats hers is hers so there's never a problem! 800 IKE's would be an absolute pleasure to peruse through. Even if they were of the BiCentennial Variety!
I handle all monies in the household. When the woman complains, i just deposit some coins into her account. Im at a different bank everyday! She makes the money...and i flip her money into more money you need a buck to make a buck right?
