Instead of adding to my original post concerning this topic I'm starting a new thread. Why? Because I had indicated the wrong issue in the title originally. But here's the link to it: http://www.cointalk.com/t118182/ I've got all the LM numbers now except for the one. Here's the results of the 14 coins I have in my set: - Four are rated R-1 (common) - Eight are rated R-2 (fairly common) - One is rated R-6 (very rare; 13-30 known) - One still to be identified One other positive result is that what I thought was an 1836, Large 5, turned to to be an 1836, 3 over inverted 3, worth about 50% more. With all this practice I'm now prepared to try VAM varieties for Morgan and Peace dollars. As for the one I can't pin down, here's the pics. It's supposed to be an 1835, Small Date, Large 5 (which I agree with) but I can't come up with the LM number. http://www.dcderoo.com/10hf-1835-SDL5-o.jpg http://www.dcderoo.com/10hf-1835-SDL5-r.jpg
Well, we certainly had a great time with the 1829 LM-11 r.6 ! Hopefully we'll have another thriller with this 1835. When I get home I'll give it a go. Attribution - fun for the whole family !
Yeh, it looks like the 1829 was the only real goodie. I've got them in an NGC Registry Set. Also I have my Classic Head half cents there too. I need to finish editing the pictures so that I can load those into the Registry Sets. That's 11 sets over there now. My type set is hanging around at number 16 or 17. That's my REAL pride and joy.
