I won this coin on eBay from seller greattoning. The coin ended up costing me a little under $50, so right in the area I was willing to pay for it. I think this might be my new favorite Sower. My collection now consists of 1913 NGC MS64 50 Centimes 1913 ICG MS65 1 Franc 1915 NGC MS65 50 Centimes 1918 PCGS MS65 1 Franc (Shown below) 1919 NGC MS65 50 Centimes 1919 NGC MS65 1 Franc There should be at least one more on the way soon, if all my sales go right. Feast your eyes on it, photos by me
Nice coin!!! Quit putting T$ in the title every time I see that I get excited thinking its a trade dollar:goofer:
Funny, every time I looked at a Trade Dollar's slab label, I think they are talking about me. Thanks Dimefreak!
Well if ya' clicked on all the links in the original post you would've seen more than one Thank you Larry
greattoning has some really nice coins, I just let one of his 58 double mint sets get away from me due to computer issues.
He is a nice guy too and his photos are pretty darn good, but on some coins they are a tad overexposed, to bring out color. Hopefully if he has another 1 Franc... I will be there!
Nice collection! My only sowers are from the 60's or later. Out of curiosity, is this a new-found obsession after you bought that pound of world coins?
No, This 'obsession' of collecting these Sower coins came a while back, before the pound of world coins that I bought. This is the original thread I started about them, of course, I've added more and my pictures are much better. http://www.cointalk.com/t112880/
And just to add on to this thread. Northeast Numismatics accepted my offer on another coin. This is NGC MS66. This toned set is really coming along.
T$ What a fantastic collection you've quickly put together of these Sower coins and your photos quite simply ROCK! Great work.
