Hey everyone. I was looking through my pocket change the other day and a certain dime stuck out to me because of the extremely strong strike. or thats what i thought at first. When i put it aside i compared it to other dimes and it seems the letters on the whole reverse are extremely bold compared to any other dime i had laying around and they seem to be larger in general as there isnt as much space inbetween the letters as the other dimes. Also the whole coin seems to "pop" because the design sticks out alot. Finally, the dime is the same diameter as other dimes but it seems to be thicker than normal which may explain the "pop" effect i was talking about. I took some pictures of it with another dime to try my best to show what i mean about it hopefully you can notice what i do.

I dont have a scale or calipers handy to tell you exact thickness differences or weight differences between it and other dimes. Thanks for any help

Honestly - it looks like an ordinary late die state coin to me.

He doesn't give the dates but I can tell that there has been a "redo" of the hubs between the two. The designs have been sharpened and the lettering moved back further from the rim.

Is my memory wrong or didn't they do a redesign to sharpen up the details after 85. I could really be wrong there since my memory is twice as old as I am. (104)

Thanks Condor. It's nice to know my memory isn't totally gone.
