I don't think BoAC is too pushy but I've purchased the worst bricks ever there. Got zippo, nada, and they were dirty too. Just my luck, I guess.

Just be sure that you know who your dump bank is sending coins out to. My dump bank was getting coins from Loomis, however; they had two options for sending coins out. For half dollars some of the branches send the coins to Bank of America to handle. BoA sends them to Dunbar. Before I realized this, I was dumping my coins at a bank that was sending them to BoA and ultimately to Dunbar who supplies the boxes where I buy them. Now I dump at branch of the same bank who sends them to Loomis.

I'd like to find a bank that gets supplied by Brinks but haven't been able to around here yet.

I know TD is supplied by Brinks and has their change taken away by Brinks as well... They do two trips a week, and I've been there for several of them... they take the coins/cash to the vault, and remove what's in the fault and put it in the truck. Not sure about other banks around here though...

I wish I'd known how hard halves are to find before I got into them like I am. Got a hold of 11 rolls today and was pleasantly surpised- 3 90%s (including a '64 that I think is one with the "heavily accented hair") and 2 40%s. Not too bad a day.

Heavily accented hair's were proof only, I believe, so that's kind of a giveaway, just fyi.

Just picked up another 2 boxes of halves today. hopefully I can end my streak of nothing. I have been through 3 1/2 boxes with nothing so hopefully these two will have some silver. Will let you know what I come up with.

Thanks for the heads up. I guess this one just has pretty much no wear to it. Looks like JFK has an afro!

    Good luck, boss.

Gettin' paid tomorrow! Gonna do some dimes, then a box of halves on Friday. Interesting side-effect to roll-searching... It's greatly diminished my wasteful excess spending because my money is almost always tied up in dimes and half dollars and pennies, haha.

I agree with you 100%. I have $3500 in halves sittin in my safe right now that I need to take back to my dump bank but I have been to lazy lately to do it.

My friend owns a arcade business.....he let me search about $200 of quarters last night.

    No silver (I expected that)
4 2009 issues (didn't keep, but not a high percentage)
0 2010 coins (still have not seen one....I don't want to have to buy these for my Dansco)

    A big Nuthin!

Box of nickels: 1st roll 1897 and 1905 liberty heads. Really worn, but still pretty cool. No silver or anything else. Thought I had hit the mother load after that 1st roll.

TD bank up here isn't serviced by Brinks. I've also been trying to find a local bank that has a coin machine that they are in charge of that I can buy the bags from. So far, it's been "no" everytime I ask.

Huh, I should ask my CU if I can do that... but one teller told me it actually rejects all silver, gold and foriegns, so that'd probably be fruitless. Who services TD up there? TD didn't start as TD down here, it started as Commerce Bank, so that could explain the difference.

Up here TD is using Dunbar also.

I find that when they say no silver they mean no frankies or earlier most don't know kennedys were 90% and 40% silver for a while ... through 1970.

My bank had a counter for free customer use for a period, It was a CoinStar and now it's disappeared. There is a new bank across the street that I have not bought any rolls from. Going next week to try that one.

David....that is VERY cool. I've never found a Liberty Head nickel, an Indian Head Cent or a Mercury Dime searching change or rolls.....Yes, Silver is great, but finding something that old and that out of circulation is fantastic. Congrats.
