OK...if Krispy won't ask it, I suppose I'll have to...

Elaine...on what information do you base that statement? :D

Yeah...that one was like the "1000 coin" sales that were supposed to happen in the last week for Julia Tyler. :rolling:

I would expect that if "Big Daddy Got Rocks" bought a hoard of FS coins, he/she would have done it at the same time...to lock in a price. Not spread it out over a number of weeks like the weekly sales figures suggest.

However, I have to say, I agree with Elaine that the Margaret Taylor coins could be the ones to watch. It could be quite a distraction...having the Buchanan and Lincoln coins coming out as the Taylor coins end. :secret:

you must be doing well for yourself. I am having a lot of trouble with this series, the price of gold is just knocking me out of it.

I'm stretched pretty thin myself...I'm doing all I can to save up for the Buchanan and Lincoln. Prices realized on eBay seem to be going up a bit.

I think Julia Tyler will be the Key this year, because most people will buy up spouse gold the rest of the year since Julia Tyler was up almost double without graded. I don't know what is going to happen next year.

has anyone noticed that these coins sell for nothing more than bullion?

A CoinTalk guru once said, "We have yet to see the lowest minted coin of this series."

Do a quick search of ebay and you will be surprised how high these are selling. I was really surprised myself. There are some coins in the series that are regularly commanding above $1000. Others, while not as much, still are well above the bullion value and doing quite well. In fact, I didn't see any at all that were selling anywhere near bullion, but I am sure they are out there.

  16. I'll bet that there is a small select passionate subgroup of collectors out there that will buy, sell and trade these for moon money up until the series ends. TC

I think they will revisit the series as presidents die. The Clintons will do for the 1$ and Spouses what Alaska and Hawaii just couldn't do for the State Quarters.

Did you see the eBay completed prices on PCGS First Strike Taylors? Over 3K. Outrageous! And then Julia beat her!
