I'm going thru some of my cigar-box's and noticed that the ANACS holders for the bust 1/2 dollar are in different sizes. Maybe you guys knew this, but it sure surprised me.

I thought I read recently where ANACS was considering changing their holder. By the looks of your 2 slabs, it appears they may have done it once before.

I thought they got smaller... but I didn't have an old ANACS slab to compare it to.

I think it's smaller because of a change in their grading standards. They've stopped using (NET) grades and thus can use a smaller holder, fewer words and type lines, maybe???

i would rather they make a holder the same size as every one else ( pcgs/ngc/pci/icg/etc, they all have aprox. the same size holder )

those darn anacs holders are to small... ;)

I say the smaller the better. I think they could still shave off a little plastic.

i guess i am biased because i have so many slabs, and the anacs ones are kind of an odd duck.

I agree. My slabs are about 85% NGC, 10% ANACS, and 5% PCGS. ANACS is equal to, or better than any TPG as far as Morgans go, but their holders are an annoyance.
