I have over 50 oz of foreign junk silver accumulated over time from family and coin shows.

Is there an equation out there to calculate how much silver I have in ounces? They are mostly worn coins, nothing real special.

    Help much appreciated!

you need to know the finess and ASW (actual silver weight) of each coin. then multiply that by current spot silver.

Foreign coins can be as little as 10% to more than 90% silver.

You might post a couple of photographs of the coins laid out on a sheet.

Plus certain coins MAY have a collector value far beyond their silver content value. Then again, maybe they do not, depending on the type of coins you have.
