hey i have a 1943 steel cent in uncirculated condition(its purdy ) . any guesses about worth and are these uncommen
Nope...there are 600+ million.....worth about $0.05-$0.50 at the most maybe....If it is high grade UNC more. Speedy
About the most I've ever seen these go for is around $3 in gem unciruclated conditon. They look real nice that high... sadly they don't age well once they get circulated.
I went thru a lot of about 400 the other day and only 10 were not rusted. Ive seen some very nice UNC ones go for about $4 but that is the most you can expect. Anyone know a way of cleaning them up a little? Im planning on experimenting on some in varius stages of oxidation and see what I can do to clean them up a bit so if you have anything you would like me try, I can post the results later when I finish.
