    Hi Guys,

There are a bunch of coin collecting supply websites out there, and I was just wondering what you guys look for in a website before you buy anything from them, other than price.

Also, are there things that if you do/don't see on a site you leave and do not use that site? Thanks,

    gulf

  4. I would like to add Brooklyn Gallery to the list. They have very competitive prices and speedy delivery. It seems if I order something in the morning, it arrives that same day. :D Just kidding, it arrives the next day or day after. Regardless, they are very quick. :) Here is a link:

The one I've used mostly is Wizardcoinsupply.com, only for items I cant find locally.

I've ordered from http://www.coinsupplyexpress.com quite a few times. I find their prices reasonable and shipping is fast. I've also contacted them a few times with questions and they answered them back within a day or so.

There's very few supplies that I need anymore.
    2x2's mostly.
I buy them when I go to the Whitman shows in Baltimore.

Only other thing is books and I:
    a. See how much they cost on Amazon
    b. See how much they cost on eBay
    c. Surf the net (Google) to see if I can beat those prices.

Books you can get from Barnes & Nobel. 2x2s can be had from any coin shop near you.

Many of the books I get are OOP.
Barnes & Noble don't have them; you have to be REAL lucky to find them on eBay; Amazon often has the title listed but the books themselves are "unavailable".
    That's where Google comes in.
You end up at places that specialize in these type of books, and generally they are expensive.
Or at the big shows there is often one or two book sellers.

It is rare that I buy any supplies but if I get any supplies, it is usually air-tites, or maybe another Dansco album and I will usually wait for a major coin show to get any supplies that I might need. If I cannot get them at the coin shows, then I will go on ebay to buy certain supplies. I know that it is more expensive on ebay to buy certain supplies but I do not buy that much in supplies and, price-wise, it will not hurt me too much.

i get my supplies at the monthly coin show. for $2 i get 100 2x2's! the binder pages are 50 cents each.

although i forgot to get some binder pages and don't want to wait till next month, so i will have to find a place also..

The dealer that I work with orders everything from Transline, so when I need something I just wait until he needs to place an order and we do it together. www.translinesupply.com They have better prices than everyone else I have seen and if you place an order of $300 or more the shipping is free.

Not a fan of coin wizard. Had bad customer service from them on my initial order and they didn't care.

I'll go along with that. So far I've never found a price on the internet that can beat the prices at a coin show. Not only is the coin show more fun but no postage, handling, etc. for anything you buy.
