I was wondering if anyone has ever seen a "liberty seated dime" on the back, and a large caligraphy M with swirls around the edges on the front. I have heard of "trial coins", and was wondering if this could be one. Or if this is just some sort of token. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
does it have a hole punched in it? i have a seated dime "love token". on the reverse there is initials engraved artistically. could you post a picture?
Panda has it right - you have a love token. It is a major alteration to the coin, but love tokens are a collectable in their own right. ACE Mike
Yep, it is a love token. I know people who collect love tokens. Sounds like a cool piece. Post pics if you can.
Some of these have really great art work on them. A search on Ebay for love tokens will bring up a few.
I Posted a Pic of The Coin!!! I am adding a picture of this "Love Token". I just won this on an auction site. That is why I wanted to know any info anyone may have had for me first. I belong to a site where we use credits to win items. thanks for answering my post
Raven, Can you take the coin out of the 2X2 and retake the photos? The glare off the plastic makes it impossible to see the coin.
that is different then mine. the obverse on mine was left alone and the reverse was detailed.i have to get a better picture of mine, but here is a crappy one... edit: never mind about the M, i must of been thinking of something else!
