Not mine but it was a famous coin here a while back.

    Is that?
    It couldn't...

    IT IS!?!

That one was recently sold by him...I believe he cracked it outta the slab...and had pics that didn't show the fingerprint of course. He advertised it as a BU, I think, ain't for sure though.

Nope. He got so much crap from everyone, when he sold it , the listing stated AU.

I know he ended the item and relisted it several times.

In one of the prior auctions did he have it at BU? I was almost for sure that he had one of the listings at BU.

More than 1 said BU, but the only one that ran to completion stated AU.

I know a few times some of the guys at CU put in ridiculous bids, with no intention of paying. :D
He is a fool to even advertise he is selling something...although we'd probably find it anyway.

Please, fellas, this is a good thread. Let's not derail it with that old news. How about this one I purchased from Mark Feld (who we don't hear from enough on here now that he's back on CU). Todd of BluCC provided the image. Anyway, I like it a lot, particularly for the grade:

Here's one from my circulated buffalo collection. I'm still trying in vain to match the quality of photo some of you guys post on here. I can't seem to get rid of the flash reflection.:headbang:

Using the flash is the worse way to do it.
I promise ya', you will see better results using two lamps, fluorescent, halogen, OTT, etc.

Flash adds overexposure. With circulated coins it isn't as bad, but I still wouldn't ever recommend using the flash.

Using flash is not good - but I believe he just needs to trim the pictures down to just the nickel. Don't know about T$, but I am still using the photoscape that he posted about somewhere else.

Did this really quick. Now to figure out how attachments work.

    Nice work Mark H. Thanks.
Don't want to wander too far off topic, but how were you able to crop the image down to a circle? Windows live photo-viewer limits me to a square.

Now, I need to figure out how to "photo shop" out the slab scratches over the "Five Cents."

Photoscape software has a round crop. I have no clue about photoshop. Photoscape is freeware.

Thanks for recommending Photoscape. As you can see, I've taken full advantage since then. Now I'm organizing the files and this requires reposting any links. It is the one drawback.

Let me know if you figure that one out.
