http://cgi.ebay.com/US-COIN-CAPPED-...362766251QQcategoryZ11969QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Here is a really good deal on a couple of halves. This auction is not mine. Just passing along a good buy. Bone
Pretty cheap I would say...I didn't look at the bigger photos but it looked like the guy was a good seller...not everyone would post that they have rim damage and had been cleaned. Speedy
Yes, it looks like an Up & Up deal. I have both of those, but figured sombody here could or might need them. I keep my eye <@>'s open occasionally Bone
If a coin is over dipped...it loses its luster...I have never seena UNC coin that just lost its luster without something helping it. I woudl say that it has been dipped....it would more than likely be slabbed because it doesn't look too bad....but I would think with that kind of detail there would be some luster and I sure don't see it. Speedy
They did a good job dipping it, since you cannot see dark spots around the crevices. And when I say they did a good job, that is assuming they dipped it.
Its Ebay listing #8359226606 don't have a larger pic. I'm not bidding on it but I'm still trying to learn how to tell if a coin is cleaned/dipped. Thank you.
Yup - it's been dipped. A close look at an enlarged pic of the obverse and you can see it. A look at the reverse is a dead give-away.
There ok if you like problem coins, Id rather save the money and buy a nice AU-58 or better un-touched.If your going to just keepem, fine but you will run into a big loss down the road if you resell.
I find that funny since just in another post you told how you clean coins.....that my friend is a problem coin no matter how you look at it. Speedy
Cleaning $2.00 indians doesnt bother me abit, some coins in my past needed help and Ive never regreted it, I know what Iam doin....... :eating:
