    Hello,

Can someone help me identify this 10 Yen note, the year it was printed, and whether it is worth anything of significance? The note was found in a book published in 1937.

    Thank you,
    Garry

1930 Ten Yen, Unless it's great quality, it's worth $5-$10 U.S.. You can see more Japanese currency in the gallery in my link below.

Issued May 21, 1930, demonetized March 2, 1946, #11-46 in the Japanese Numismatic Dealers Assn. Catalog.

The portrait is of Wake no Kiyomaro, an 8th Century government official who played a major role in selecting Kyoto as the Imperial capital, which it remained until the 19th Century Meiji Restoration resulted in moving the capital to Tokyo.
