Sure would be nice to be able to post a trade in the open section. I did finally get around the price requirement in the new classified section, but the classified section, since it doesn’t have its own forum button, gets less than 10% of the views the open section gets. How is it, some are able to post in the open section and others are not and how do you get cleared to post in the open section?
It appears that Peter re-opened the Open Forum yesterday. It was closed to posts from anybody for several days so people would try the new Classifieds section. And of course it doesn't get the same number of views because not many know about it yet. In time, I have little doubt that the Open section will even be used much anymore. But people will have to become accustomed to the Classifieds section first.
Tried this morning, but still not able to post in the Open Section. Do I need to email Peter or is he still working on it?
Can't recall anyone mentioning the Time of posting after the end of the current day. I used to get on in the morning and hit "new posts", and then go back to when I had stopped the evening before. Now the "eveing before time" seems to just have a single 0! Oh well I guess I can just stay until after midnight.
Then I'm missing something, I don't see a button to post a thread. Where is the button? Thanks in advance.
Hey! I said I went there. I did not say I did anything while I was there. Does not look very useful without being able to start any threads now does it?
There is no button, I was wrong. I suspect I was like you. When I saw the post made yesterday I assumed Peter must have opened it back up. But he didn't. If you read the post from yesterday you'll see that a Moderator moved that post to the Open forum. So nobody posted there since Peter closed it.
I do not like the new coin talk at all. I have posted threads and cannot find them. The search function doesn't seem to work. Ads and other posting are printed right over the top of the forums. I am so frustrated. I could not even find anywhere to write or email a question or issue. Went to FAQ(no help). I have been using or looking at coin talk regularly for quite some time w/no issues. I love when we fix things that are not broke. I used to grade coin talk MS68, now I'll give it a G-4. I used to like coin talk, but I am on the verge of dropping it all together. Can we please go back to something that is useable????? I will probably never find this post or any of the answers so fire away. This post is meant to be jest, but none the less true... Frustrated BIG TIME, Laclluster
Strongly agree with those who are experiencing difficulty with this newly improved[?] site. What was once a friendly-user platform has become a FUBAR. You log-in as instructed, spend time typing a reply, click the Submit Reply and get a message saying that you can't post. It tells you to log-in again, refresh the page and when you go to do so, poof, everything you have typed disappears. I've been evaporated four times in a row. Why bother???!!! SNAFU, comes to mind.
Is it my computer or CT? Yesterday it appeared (to me) that CT was down for awhile. When it came back, I have to scroll to the right to reads the posts, as whatever is type is on one line and the quoted posts do not appear in the post quoting them. Anyone else experiencing this problem? Update: Just noticed this problem is only when I'm logged in, if not logged in, threads appear as they should.
