Thanks. My final set of 1802s will take a while. There are 31 pieces of that set or 31 1/2 if you include half the two headed large cent.
Nice! I thought it was the Holmes early die until I saw yours was an earlier die state without any crumbling over B.
That's like picking a favorite child. However; if pressed, it would probably be the S-213 because of the strong date, waves and the very beginnings of a counterstamp on the reverse.
Hey Marshall, always enjoy seeing you LC's. Is this a complete set of Sheldon Varieties from 1801, or only partial. (If so, how many coins do you have left to go?)
The 1801 Sheldons include S-213 to S-224 12 S varieties and NC-1 to NC-5 varieties, all of which are considered Now Collectible. I'm only about half way through the S series.
