OK fellas, I am going to send him a set of 1941-1958 wheats in vf-unc, so he can complete his set and upgrade some. EDIT- I added 5 small error cents, the kind you have to look closely to find.
Indeed....it's fun to search and fill holes. However, the odds are you're never going to find the Lincoln keys and semi-keys by roll/bag searching. Also, prices are rising so the longer you wait the more you're probably going to have to pay for those dates.
Agreed totally. However I have been doing this for only a month. I don't want to complete it as fast as possible and put it on a shelf. I understand, but the hunt is what is keeping me interested right now because I am new to it. I could go out and buy everything tomorrow but whats the fun in that
Here are some questions. Is a Dansco Album a decent way to store these coins? At what point should you get them slabbed? Is there an album that has slabbed place holders?
I wouldn't be slabbing anything that's not a key date unless it's in near-perfect condition, but that's just me. Slabbing aint cheap.
Couldn't figure out how to edit my first post so Ill just add my new ones here. The ones in bold are the new cents I have found for my collection. Pretty excited on the progress I have made. It really looks like the last 5 has a double die. I have those in my question mark jar so I can take them to a coin shop somewhere because my town doesn't have a coin shop Also been trying to learn about errors and how to spot them. I think I need to buy some so I can see them for myself. Its hard to look for DoverS and vice versa without a good reference. Leon

Aw man, I just let go of a nice 1909 vdb and a couple of others ! Let me look at the boxes of junk rolls this week to see if I can help . I just started with Lincoln Memorials and have sorted some rolls out. If you are extending the set, post what you need. gary
Sweet collection. The only one I have bought from mine is the 1909 VDB. All others have been found in rolls and bags that I have gotten off of Ebay and a set that Captainkirk sent me. I have started the Memorials also, but I thought I would focus on the wheats until I get most of them filled. If I have some time this weekend, Ill extend my list to include the memorials I have. Thanks buddy.
