I'm considering a theme collection of banknotes (and coins too) with bicycles on them. I don't know of any banknotes that fit this catagory. I was hoping some of you could help. Any ideas? Thanks
The Northern Bank from Northern Ireland has more than one note (they all appear to be different series of 10 pound notes) that feature J.B. Dunlop and have a bicycle on them. I can also picture at least one piece of German notgeld that has a bicycle on it.
Tour de France coins Also... Lance Armstrong was strong-armed into signing some slabbed PCGS ASEs in 2004 that you might look out for. He also just announce the current race will be his last Tour de France.

I just looked through my entire collection and have nothing with a bicycle on it. You could end up with quite a difficult challenge here, Art! Dave
Hi Art - Vietnam P-95 has a reverse which has three two wheeled bicycles and, I believe, one three wheeled bicylcle (moving away from the viewer. They are all small, but they are bicycles anyway.
I was also looking for notes in banknote searches online but came up empty handed. There are a lot of abstract security features that look like spoked wheels and such. I thought maybe early modern Chinese currency might feature vignettes with people on bicycles but couldn't locate anything. I seached 'bicycle' on Scripophily.net and found this stock certificate, if you happen to consider these engravings an extension of your theme-collection. This search is a tough one indeed. Off topic: In my search for your bicycle-themed note(s), I can add that I turned up a note from Greenland that features a whale vignette, something I have been looking for myself for quite some time as it pertains to a particular interest of my reading. I read a lot of books on the history of Nantucket, the early history of whaling and the economy it defined in the Americas and particularly the stories of actual events that lead Melville to write his fiction, Moby Dick. I guess it was worth a few moments looking for bicycles and velocipedes on notes and coins today. :smile
Art - I had to look twice, but Hong Kong P335 has bikes on the reverse as well, in the lower left corner.
