I have a wonderful, wonderful spouse. This morning for my birthday I unwrapped this large cent for my 7070 album that was cleverly disguised as a CD. I figure it is a XF/AU coin, the photos don't show the luster that it has in hand. No idea on the attribution. What a great birthday present!
Thats a great coin. Thats awesome a wife would do that & get a coin thats worthwhile too. Not some gold plated state quarter, lol.
wow your wife appreciates your numismatic life..lol. i think she had really embraced you wholly.. my ex gf scorned me.. saying it was stupid till i smacked her with a 500 dollar sales reciept for a morgan i had in my vault...lol.. then she said "ohh are you going to continue collecting.. or sell the rest may be could take a vacation.." i said maybe ill get rid of a few things....lol....i&e her bro happy bday ..
That 7070 is more than half full. It is coming along nicely. a nice xf/au fe and my first page will be how I want it.
The last coin that my wife bought me was a 1900 O/CC Morgan and that was about 15 years ago. Now I get rakes and shovels, Where did all the magic go. Nice coin & Wife
Congrats on your birthday and a great coin. Be sure to give a big shout-out to your lovely wife from all your coin peep buds on CT !
These are so tough to attribute in hand, much tougher from a picture. My best guess is N-11 r.3+. One of the key indicators are the vertical lines at ON ('twixt the O and N). Those are die finishing lines from the engravers polishing the dies. Look very closely for faint lines pointing to the southwest from NT.
Your a lucky man to have such a nice wife who knows what will make you happy ! Happy Birthday Beautiful coin !!!
