Have a hard time reading this coin. Just looking for some opinions on what this coin would look like in hand? 1946S usually has a blue tint is it possible that this is a dark blue??? http://www.teletrade.com/coins/lot.asp?auction=2887&lot=1253&imagetype=j2
Around 2 o'clock, it almost looks purplish, but there is some red nearby so that could be understandable. Chris
WOW I hope you are right. teletrade is usually money with there pics but I wanna crossover to PCGS and there is no way the one in the pics would have. Unless of course your name is Nick Cascio thanks DJ
Were you seeing this coin on the TT site in what appears nearly black and white? That's what I get following your link. But then I compare to the next posters image and it's the same coin in color. Any idea what's up with that? Personally, I find it takes some getting used to interpreting photos on any auction site, but once you become accustomed to their style and what to expect in hand you are good to go, it also helps to understand the houses images based on the series you collect as it varies from one type to the next. TT are not my favorite auction house coin imaging experts, I prefer Heritage, a sister company even, but even HA takes some getting used to and you can bet there are differences from what they depict to what you receive from time to time, be that to your advantage or disadvantage.
