Okay. Well I found in my basement all the state quarters in 2 sets (P and D mints) in uncirculated mint condition with a painted reverse side.. Anyways on a tennessee 2002-D painted state quarter the coin must have been rotated when it was painted on because the paint is about 10% off... check it out? What do you think it is worth?
25c! No kidding! Painting the coin has removed any numismatic value. Of course, you could always hype it on SleazeBay as a major error. I'm sure there are plenty of Bidiots who would fall for it. By the way, any that are painted, are no longer considered "uncirculated mint condition". Sorry! Chris
No numismatic value. worth 25¢ in a regular cash transaction. So you "found these in your basement", are they yours or a family members? If they were mine, I'd bust the set up, roll them, deposit to the bank and take the cash to buy silver bullion. You have what, 100 quarters, that's $25, just enough with some change to spare after buying a Silver Eagle. My
bidiots and 2cents made me laugh haha... They are mine, my parents said they bought them for me when I was little so I just now found them haha. Oh and my bad dudes I thought that these were painted in the mint and the sealed.. So I guess its just "uncirculated" not "uncirculated - mint"
It's a marketing gimmick to sell coins to "collectors" or hobbyists. It's the sort of garbage you find on HSN type TV coin shows airing on late night TV which prey on people with limited knowledge of collecting and their pocketbooks.
Krispy and Cpm9ball don't talk for the masses. You will be able to get more then 25 cents each for them and some ppl would be more then happy to take them off your hands. Colored coins are ugly in my opinion and I would never buy one but that doesn't mean that Jake or June across the street doesn't want them , heck they might give you 2 dollars each , who knows. You will get what ppl are whiling to pay for them..... O/D I wouldn't roll them and cash them in as pocket change that's for sure......
